PASSÉ STUDIOS
PASSÉ STUDIOS
A streetwear brand that blends new & old designs into pieces that you can wear everyday.
Overview
THE PROJECT
Passé Studios strives to capture nostalgic moments of fashion into their pieces of fabric. The word passé means outdated and behind the times, but they believe style has no period.
The client wanted a website as unique as the brand. Numerous meetings were held to discuss exactly what kind of vibe we wanted to achieve. The core inspiration was taken from the concept of metamorphosis.
“The journey of a caterpillar to butterfly is like how fashion is always evolving into a new identity,”
says Raqe Young, the founder of Passé.
He is also a dear friend of mine which is how this project came into my hands. I have been able to watch his idea grow into a clothing brand and was very excited to get the chance at building the website.
During one of the multiple discussions with Raqe, he is aiming to make clothes that everyone can enjoy. He hopes the brand will resonate with the

and the streetwear enthusiasts.

THE PROBLEM & SOLUTION
Because it is a new company, one of the problem points was the anonymity. However, Passé’s social media account will help immensely to spread word. The founder built a faceless Instagram following for multiple years with organic followers he met while networking, currently over 4,800 followers.
For the first impression of the website, mysterious and intriguing were the goals. I wanted to create a design that would last in people’s minds and keep them thinking about it. Squarespace was the chosen platform for its all-in-one electronic commerce capabilities.
With the website up and running, Passé Studios is set to release their spring catalog for 2025.
For now, you can see a preview of their products with a passcode to enter their site: 1775, the year the word “passé” was invented.
